When Katie isn’t hiking beautiful places like Sequoia National Park, you might see her running marathons. She does describe herself as a “horrible runner” but loves the sense of accomplishment when finished.
Like many of us, the world-famous NLG culture is what drew her here. “I felt a personal alignment to the culture and values of National Life. That is important to me, and I truly believe people are happier and more effective when they have that connection to their employer.”
When asked to describe her experience so far, Katie had one word that really summed it up. “Fantastic! I have been overwhelmed by the warm welcomes I have received, and the commitment each individual has demonstrated toward National Life and to one another. There is a real sense of support from people who truly want to help you learn and succeed.”
Katie has some great advice for anyone new to NLG. “Take the time to truly immerse yourself in the culture which is very special at National Life. Take advantage of opportunities to get to know others, and to learn from them. Embrace the support offered, and in turn, pay it forward to someone else.”
